$19bn hedge fund platform ditches offshore jurisdictions

A major European hedge fund platform is ditching funds registered offshore, such as in Luxembourg and Jersey, as pension funds call for safer and more regulated investments.

Lyxor Asset Management, which runs a $19bn hedge funds platform from Paris, has reduced the number of offshore funds in its portfolio by around 70%, with many shuttered completely or converted to onshore Ucits structures.
