Insight Investments is the second-biggest liability-driven investment manager in the UK market by assets, but that is just about the only metric by which it ranks second in the eyes of our judges.

It has now won the LDI Manager of the Year trophy for five years in a row - beating L&G Investment Management into second place for the last three years. This year's margin of victory has widened, too, from 0.16 of a point a year ago to 0.41.
