3 Italia launches delayed €2.5bn IPO

Italian mobile telephone operator 3 Italia has launched its delayed initial public offering, bankers working on the deal said today. The sale is expected to raise up to €2.5bn ($3bn).

Bankers said they began the two-week investor education period for the float last night. The deal could value the company at €5bn to €6bn.
