Julia Wilson has joined 3i, Europe's largest quoted private equity investor, in the new role of deputy finance director.

Wilson will support Simon Ball, 3i's group finance director, and be responsible for the finance, taxation and treasury functions at the company. Ball, a financial services verteran, joined 3i last February from the UK government's Department for Constitutional Affairs.
