3i, the UK-quoted private equity group, has complete three exits in less than a week with a total estimated enterprise value £500m (€750m).
On Tuesday it sold Pets at Home, the UK pet food and accessories retailer, to private equity rival Bridgepoint Capital in a €230m deal and floated E2V Technologies, a technology components manufacturer, on the London Stock Exchange for £57m. On Friday it sold Malmberg, a Dutch educational publisher to Finnish SanomaWSOY, one of Europe's largest educational publishers, for €222m. Greenhill, the independent investment bank, advised Malmberg.
