3i Group has named three executives to lead its UK and Nordic teams, following the departure of two of the London-listed private equity firm's most senior deal makers.

Alan Giddins, managing partner and co-head of 3i's private equity team, will take over as the firm's UK managing director following the departure of current UK chief David Whileman, who resigned last week, according to a spokeswoman for 3i.
