420 day might be an unofficial cannabis holiday but it’s a low time for pot investors

A cannabis bill set for August may not have enough votes to be passed

Many pot smokers will light up to celebrate 4/20, or 20 April, the unofficial annual cannabis holiday in the US. But it still isn’t a great time to reach for US marijuana stocks as progress on federal reform stalls once again.

Last week, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said his cannabis bill will be introduced in August, four months later than planned. It is a sign that the proposal, which would end cannabis prohibition in the US, doesn’t have enough votes to pass.
