After five years as editor, I have taken on a new role as managing director of Financial News. In this role, I will have responsibility for Financial News’ business across all of our publications: our weekly newspaper, our website Financial News Online, and our growing stable of specialist publications such as Private Equity News.

I am delighted that Grant Clelland, deputy editor since 2005, is taking over as the editor of Financial News. Grant has more than 20 years experience in journalism, including 12 years at the BBC and two years as business editor of the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong.
