Aberdeen buys rights to manage LAHC

Aberdeen Asset Management has bought the rights to manage £5.5bn (€8.9bn) in assets from the Life Assurance Holding Corporation.

Aberdeen is set to lose funds totalling £10bn when Abbey National's acquisition of Scottish Provident is finalised. The new deal should offset its potential loss of assets, which is expected at the beginning of next year.
