Aberdeen Development Capital shows appreciation

Aberdeen Development Capital, Aberdeen Asset Management's private equity investment trust, has seen its net asset value per share climb 23.6% to 68.32p in a year when many trusts have written down the value of their investments.

The successful flotation of IndigoVision, a technology company, significantly boosted the net asset value for the year ending in May. Aberdeen invested £500,000 (€814,000) in IndigoVision and realised £3.7m when the firm listed in July 2000. Aberdeen still holds shares in the company worth £750,000.
