Aberdeen Standard and Gresham House team up for small-cap truffle hunt

The two asset managers believe Mifid II’s unbundling rules have created opportunities to snap up smaller, ‘unloved’ companies

Aberdeen Standard Investments, the fund management arm of Standard Life Aberdeen, has formed a joint venture with UK-based alternatives specialist Gresham House to target smaller listed companies.

Gresham House said that listed businesses with a market value below £300m have become “unloved and ignored” as a result of new European Union rules that have overhauled the provision and consumption of investment research in such stocks.
