Peter Dicks, part of the founding team of veteran life sciences investment firm Abingworth, has joined Private Equity Investor, the UK listed private equity fund, as a non-executive director.

Dicks has more than 30 years' experience in private equity. He was one of the founders of Abingworth in 1973, and left the firm in 1991. He has since been a non-executive director or chairman of several companies including Vencap International Fund Managers, Gartmore Fledgling Trust, and Sportingbet.
