ABN Amro has created a covered bond team to support its bullish forecast that the sector will globalise within three years. The team will be led by Niall Cameron, global head of credit markets and Graham Bird, global head of rates.

The team will cover origination, syndication, structuring, advisory, trading and distribution. ABN Amro is a market maker in all of the liquid European covered bond markets and ranks third in the market, according to data from Thomson Financial.
