David Newby has left UBS Warburg to fill the newly created posts of head of European commercial mortgage-backed securities and head of UK & Irish asset securitisation at ABN Amro.

He was previously a director in the asset-backed finance team at UBS Warburg in London, and has been involved in several benchmark asset-backed securities (ABS) transactions for issuers including British Land, Bradford & Bingley and Bank of Ireland.
