ABN Amro snaps up sunroof company in weak market

ABN Amro Capital, the private equity division of ABN Amro, has followed through on its strategy to take advantage of the opportunities presented by low-valued companies, with the acquisition of Inalfa Roof Systems, a Dutch manufacturer of sunroofs for automobiles.

The deal was part of a management buy-out from Inalfa Industries, a family-owned Dutch company, and said by banking sources to be worth about €110m ($110m). Inalfa Roof Systems has nine plants worldwide supplying car makers such as BMW, General Motors, Ford and Daimler Chrysler.
