ABN Amro splits top funds job

ABN Amro Asset Management, the investment arm of the Dutch bank, has split its chief investment officer role in two and recruited Kevin Smith from Standard Life Investments as chief investment officer of equities.

The firm abolished the overall role following the departure of Andrew Fleming, its former chief investment officer, in June. It will now have separate chief investment officers for fixed income and equities.
