ABN Amro has moved quickly to replace Brian Lawson, the global head of primary debt markets who resigned on Monday, by promoting Dominic Franklin.

ABN has split Lawson's job in two and Franklin is to head investment grade debt origination, said an ABN Amro spokesperson. Investment grade forms by far the bulk of ABN's debt business.
