ABN outsources operations to State Street

ABN Amro Asset Management has become one of the first continental European fund managers to outsource its back office, appointing US bank State Street to run operations covering €75bn ($88.5bn) of assets.

The contract covers fund administration and investment operations services but not custody, which will remain with ABN Amro Mellon, a global custody joint venture between the Dutch bank and Mellon Financial.
