Abrdn set to be ejected from FTSE 100 — here’s how its year has played out

Abrdn, the £508bn Edinburgh-headquartered asset manager, looks set to be dropped from the UK's top tier of listed companies this week when the FTSE 100 index is rebalanced at the end of August.

The asset manager, which has seen its share price drop by around 40% since the start of January, is likely to be demoted to the FTSE 250, according to FTSE Russell, which oversees the UK's FTSE 100 and 250 indexes.
