Amanda Young has just celebrated a career milestone — a decade at Abrdn. It’s a Friday but the chief sustainability officer has turned up to the £496bn fund manager’s Edinburgh headquarters.
Abrdn operates a three-day-a-week flexible working policy, with staff able to choose which days they come in on. But Young tends to show up four days on average, and she says many of her colleagues are clamouring for more face-time in the office, too.
