State-backed buyout group Abu Dhabi Investment Company has completed its second acquisition in a month in a sign the Mena buyout market is continuing to mature, despite the encroaching influence of the economic downturn in the region.
ADIC has bought telecommunications support group OrasInvest in a deal worth $180m (€143m). The deal is the fourth largest buyout in the MENA region this year and the fourth biggest by a state-backed fund, according to data provider Dealogic, as the region's private equity industry continues to mature.
