Ackermann charts 'strong' course for Deutsche

Deutsche Bank chief executive Josef Ackermann has said the firm is "so strong" in investment banking it has no interest in acquisitions, as he described the outlook globally as "very good" in light of rapid growth in emerging market economies.

Ackermann said yesterday in a Bloomberg interview that Deutsche Bank's investment banking division could "compensate for relatively weak periods with organic growth, so acquisitions are barely of interest".
