Ackermann pushes for risk-monitoring forum

Josef Ackermann, chief executive of Deutsche Bank, yesterday unveiled plans for a new industry-based group to provide ongoing assessments of global financial market developments to guard against future crises.

Plans for the Market Monitoring Group, which will operate under the auspices of the Institute of International Finance, an association of 380 financial institutions, were born out of the IIF's report on best practises, which Ackermann presented in Washington DC yesterday.
