Ackman launches $300m share buyback at Pershing Square

Pershing Square, the hedge fund run by activist investor Bill Ackman, has offered shareholders the chance to cash out after a period of underperformance.

A note to the London Stock Exchange — on which the fund is listed — on Wednesday said the directors of Pershing Square Holdings would instruct the fund buy back stock worth up to $300m.
