US law firm O’Melveny & Myers has recruited an executive from emerging markets specialist Actis, which was controversially spun out of a UK Government-backed fund in 2004, further strengthening its private equity practice on the back of the asset class’ success in developing economies.
Dean Collins has joined O'Melveny's Singapore office after six years at Actis, where he worked on fundraisings both as an executive and providing in-house legal advice to members of the Actis team.
