Activist investor Edward Bramson has confirmed plans to seek a seat on the board at Barclays. If successful, the move will raise questions about the future of the group’s investment bank.

Bramson’s Sherborne Investors said in a statement on February 5 that it had put the resolution forward for consideration at Barclays’ annual general meeting in May.
