Actor Steven Seagal settles cryptocurrency charges with SEC

Regulators allege Seagal failed to reveal payments for promoting initial coin offering

Martial-arts actor Steven Seagal has settled charges brought by US securities regulators that allege he didn’t disclose payments he received for promoting an investment in an initial coin offering for the cryptocurrency Bitcoiin2Gen, also known as B2G.

Seagal, who has starred in movies such as “Under Siege” and “Hard to Kill,” didn’t disclose the $250,000 cash and $750,000 worth of B2G tokens he was promised in exchange for his promotions, the Securities and Exchange Commission alleged in an order Thursday.
