Merrill Lynch promotes duo to senior wealth roles

The bank has named new heads of its UK and Swiss wealth businesses as it continues nurture existing talent instead of hiring externally

Merrill Lynch has promoted two high-profile private bankers in Europe to take over the reins of its UK and Swiss wealth management businesses, as the firm continues to favour nurturing its existing talent over the costlier option of recruiting external candidates.

Adam Horowitz has been appointed to head of the UK, Ireland and Israel, according to a statement released today, after his predecessor Nick Tucker left the bank in July to spend more time with his family.
