Addleshaw Goddard bags head of private equity

UK-based law firm Addleshaw Goddard has hired Andrew Carpenter from US rival O'Melveny & Myers to be the firm's head of private equity.

In a reversal of the current trend for US companies to recruit private equity staff from European ones, UK-based Addleshaw hired from O'Melveny & Myers' London office, which Carpenter co-founded.
