Adecco faces downgrade to junk

Adecco, the world's largest temporary staffing group embroiled in an accounting and weak internal controls probe is in danger of being ranked as junk following a tougher stance being taken by Standard & Poor's, the ratings agency.

S&P, which holds Adecco on its lowest BBB- investment grade rating, changed the outlook on the group's credit standing on Wednesday to "negative" - a strong indication of an imminent downgrade.
