Adoboli defence says former colleagues 'stabbed him in the back'

Defence team today told a court they would attempt to show that Kweku Adoboli's former colleagues acted like three musketeers who turned on him when he confessed to carrying out unauthorised trades

Kweku Adoboli's defence team today told a court they would attempt to show that the former UBS trader’s colleagues acted like three musketeers who stabbed him in the back when he confessed to carrying out unauthorised trades.

Charles Sherrard QC, representing Adoboli, also accused a former colleague of knowing about the trades Adoboli was carrying out on the ETF desk. Adoboli is accused at Southwark Crown Court of carrying out the largest unauthorised trade in UK history. He denies two charges of fraud and two charges of false accounting.
