US private equity firm Advent International has officially started marketing its next global buyout fund, which is expected to eclipse the size of its previous vehicle that closed less than three years ago.
The firm is targeting $12 billion for its latest vehicle, according to a person familiar with the matter, who said that Advent, which typically invests in North America and Western Europe, sent marketing materials for the fundraising to investors on September 15.
