Advent Venture Partners, the technology venture capitalist, has invested £4m (€6.3m), as part of a £10m funding round, in Avidex, the spin-out from Oxford University's Institute of Molecular Medicine.

Avidex was founded in 1999 on funding of £1.7m from private investors and the Oxford Technology Venture Capital Trust.
