Aegon Asset Management, the investment subsidiary of the Dutch insurer, has promoted Jon Bennett to head of institutional business following the exit of Mike Craston to Legal & General Asset Management.

Bennett, previously director of third party business, takes control of institutional and retail fund business. Aegon said the new, expanded role reflected the increasing overlap between the retail and institutional fund markets.
