AIB loses £96m and cuts 90 jobs as Govett funds go to Gartmore

Gartmore Investment Management, the fund manager with £48bn (€70bn) in assets, has agreed to pay up to £14m to take over the management of two-thirds of the assets run by Govett, a fund manager subsidiary of Allied Irish Bank

AIB has written off £96m on its investment of 75% which it had held for eight years.
