Peter Hancock will remain in his role at the insurer until a successor has been named

AIG chief to resign

American International Group's chief executive is set to resign after two years in the role following a large fourth-quarter loss for the firm, The Wall Street Journal reports.

The board will begin a search for his successor and Peter Hancock will remain CEO until that person has been named.
