His move to index provider MSCI follows speculation over the future of the French asset manager

Alain Dubois has quit as chairman of Lyxor Asset Management, the alternative investment unit owned by Societe Generale, to become head of new business and product development at index provider MSCI.

His move follows speculation that Societe Generale might sell Lyxor, possibly through a buyout, according to a source close to the bank.
