Tony Blair’s former spin doctor Alastair Campbell has said it is “terrifying” to see law firms and tech billionaires like Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg “bending the knee” to US president Donald Trump.

Speaking at Morningstar’s annual investment conference on 7 May, Campbell said powerful firms and individuals had quickly rolled over because Trump has “absolutely shown [he] will test the guardrails”.
