One of Goldman Sachs's best known investment bankers in Europe will resurface at private equity firm CVC Capital Partners later this year after he steps down from the Wall Street bank next month, according to people familiar with the move.

The exit of Alexander Dibelius, the former head of Goldman Sachs's German business who has been co-chairman of its investment banking division since last October, after 22 years at the US bank was announced last week in an internal memo seen by Financial News.
