The 23-man private client department of law firm Allen & Overy have demerged and set up a new law firm, covering private wealth, professional partnerships, charities and chartered corporations.

Maurice Turnor Gardner, the new firm, says it has "a loyal blue-chip client base and expect to be profitable from our first year of operation."
