Allen & Overy senior partner Wim Dejonghe will lead the Magic Circle law firm by himself through its merger with Shearman & Sterling after the shock resignation of managing partner Gareth Price.

Dejonghe told Financial News that he would take on Price’s role in the run up to A&O’s planned merger with New York law firm Shearman & Sterling later this year.
