Allianz Capital Partners, the private equity arm of German insurer Allianz Group, plans to open an office in Shanghai next month amid growing investor appetite for assets in Asia, FN's sister publication Private Equity Newsreports.
“Our Asia portfolio, in particular the Chinese portfolio, has grown quite a bit and we wanted to be nearer to the flow,” Michael Lindauer, the firm’s global co-head of private equity, said.
