US-headquartered fund group Allspring Global Investments has named Kate Burke as its new chief executive, replacing Joe Sullivan, who has been at the helm since its spin-out from Wells Fargo four years ago. 

Burke, who joined the $605bn asset manager in 2023 from AllianceBernstein, where she was chief financial officer, will take over the role on 1 July.
