Altium Capital, an independent small and mid-cap European investment bank, has hired Richard Hickinbotham, formerly co-head of investment banking at Investec, as chief executive of its securities division.

Hickinbotham spent three years at Investec in London, where he was also head of securities. Altium is his first job since leaving Investec late last year.
