Technology-focused venture capital firm Amadeus Capital Partners has hired a former Intel executive to lead its operations in India as it establishes a presence in the country.

The firm has hired Bhavanipratap Rana as head of its Indian operations from Intel's investment arm, Intel Capital, where he was an investment director and spent 14 years managing more than $170 million of investments in 30 companies across India, Europe and the US, according to a statement from Amadeus on Wednesday.
