The French asset manager Amundi has pledged to increase the amount it manages in socially-responsible mutual funds by a factor of 10 over the next three years, as it makes a determined pitch to customers on its ethical credentials.
Amundi, which manages €1.4tn, said on October 8 that it will extend its analysis of companies’ environmental and social performance, and their corporate governance standards, across most of its investments by the end of 2021 — wherever this is “technically possible”.
