Amundi picks new equities chief from rival manager Nordea

Kaspar Elmgreen joins to fill the role vacated by Pioneer alumnus Diego Franzin over the summer

Amundi, Europe’s largest asset manager, has made a hire from one of its European rivals to run its €244bn equities business, according to two people familiar with the matter.

Kasper Elmgreen, the head of fundamental equities at Nordea Asset Management, is leaving to join Amundi, which managed €1.5tn of assets across equities, bonds, real estate and other assets at the end of June.
