Amvescap shares rise on Deutsche distribution speculation

Amvescap shares rose by 6% on Wednesday on the back of speculation that Deutsche Bank will shortly agree to distribute certain of its investment products in Germany.

Deutsche Bank and Amvescap, the global investment manager, are refusing to comment. However, Deutsche has confirmed in the past that it is interested in forging distribution agreements with third parties in specific niches to supplement local expertise offered by DWS, its German retail funds arm.
