Andreas Utermann is unhappy about the reputation the asset management industry has earned over the past 20 years and is on something of a personal mission to change it.

“For many years there has been a widely held view that the asset management industry is only interested in how it gets compensated and does not have clients’ or society’s interests at heart,” says the 52-year-old chief executive and global chief investment officer of Allianz Global Investors.
