There are few people in UK tech better connected than Eileen Burbidge — partner at the venture capital firm Passion Capital, a non-executive director of the digital bank Monzo and Fintech Envoy to the Treasury.

Her more than 25-year career in tech has seen her cross paths with everyone from Skype founder Niklas Zennström – who fired her in 2005 – to Starling Bank’s Anne Boden, whose startup she very nearly invested in prior to backing Tom Blomfield’s Monzo in 2015.
